April’s passion for her career stems from the desire to keep our environment clean so that friends, family and neighbors can enjoy the outdoors. In her role as an environmental scientist at Tioga, she performs Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments to test for potential site contamination. A Tupelo, Mississippi, native and graduate of the University of Mississippi, April was previously employed by the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality as a regulator and a technical project manager for the underground storage tank division. Specializing in hazardous waste and emergency response, she maintains a 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification. In April’s free time, she enjoys binging shows on Netflix and Hulu, reading a good book, tailgating, working on jigsaw puzzles and most recently, exploring caves in spelunking adventures.
