LEAD TEST KITS DON'T MEET EPA'S CRITERIA Although the EPA first issued the Lead:  Renovation, Repair & Painting Rule in April of 2008, they have yet to approve a test kit that is accurate.  Kits available indicate “false positives” for lead as much as 72% of the time.  And only one approved kit meets the “false negative” criteria.  EPA acknowledges that the approved test kits do not meet the criteria called for in the regulation. ...
