LEAD POISIONING PREVENTION WEEK
This week (October 21 to 27, 2012) is National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week. The EPA recognizes this week to highlight the importance of educating parents and children about lead paint hazards. The theme this year is "Lead-Free Kids for a Healthy Future."
If you live in a house older than 1978, then the EPA recommends three things – get your house tested, have your child tested, and learn the basics about avoiding childhood lead poisoning. You can find more information on their website.
