MOISTURE PROBLEMS DELAY BACK-TO-SCHOOL FOR SOME
It’s time for kids to head back to school. But several schools around the nation have had delayed openings due to moisture problems. With the flooding and excessive rain that many regions have experienced, some buildings are exhibiting signs of mold and reduced indoor air quality. Schools in Barnegat Township and Bedminster Township in New Jersey, schools in South Carolina, and even some in Iowa, have reported late openings or shuffling of students to other buildings.
Breathing in mold spores daily can affect your children’s health, especially if they suffer from asthma. Keep an eye out for excessive moisture, water damage or mold within the buildings your kids spend time in.
