POLLUTION PREVENTION WEEK
The week of September 19th to 25th is National Pollution Prevention Week. According to the EPA, “this week serves to recognize significant pollution prevention work around the country and help consumers get involved in pollution prevention.” The EPA uses this week to share information about pollution in our homes, businesses and government. This year, the EPA is launching a new website to help consumers navigate through the various products and programs involved in pollution prevention. This green products portal provides information about everyday products that are available that help reduce air pollution, conserve water and energy and minimize waste.
At Tioga, our office participates by recycling, buying earth-friendly soaps and turning off lights and appliances when not in use. Our business provides assistance to industries looking to minimize pollution whether in the air, water or soil. Celebrate this week by checking out the new website and learning about some new green products!
