All new and existing point source industrial stormwater discharges associated with industrial activity require an NPDES Stormwater Permit from the Tennessee Division of Water Resources. Most common is the General Permit, which is available to almost any industry. Tioga has worked with many companies to establish Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans for their industrial facilities.
The state of Tennessee’s General Permit that provides coverage to these facilities is now expired. However, the state has yet to issue a new permit. This means that coverage under the old permit is extended until the new permit is issued, and each facility will be notified by the state when a new permit is available.
When the permits are available, we will be happy to assist any facility with the updating of their Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan and reapplying for coverage.
