We're excited to announce the newest addition to our team, April Cameron! She'll be serving as an environmental scientist.
Passionate about keeping the environment clean and safe for her community, Cameron brings three years of hazardous waste and emergency response experience to Tioga. In her new role, Cameron will perform Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments to investigate potential environmental contamination on properties across the Mid-South. Previously, she served as a technical project manager for the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, for which she assessed underground storage tanks and oversaw the remediation of storage tank leaks. Cameron is certified in Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response standards, a training program organized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
“April’s expertise and work experience speak for themselves,” said Larkin Myers, president of Tioga. “Her passion for her career and for protecting the environment is evident, and we’re excited to welcome her to the Tioga team.”
A native of Tupelo, Mississippi, Cameron received a Bachelor of Science in geological engineering from the University of Mississippi.
“Tioga’s mission to make our environment healthier and safer aligns with my passion,” Cameron said. “I’m ready to embark on this new adventure and thrilled to continue my journey as an environmental scientist at Tioga.”
